Call for Research Participation – 2026 Emerging African Scholars Funding Programme

(Advancing Knowledge through Applied Artificial Intelligence)

The Ankh Research and Discovery invite recent graduates and Master’s students to apply for the 2026 Research Funding Programme, an initiative designed to empower emerging scholars to advance research in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Supply Chains, Human Resource Management, and Education. Selected applicants will receive up to GHS 3,500 in research funding, along with training and mentorship to design, execute, and submit their research for publication within 12 months. The Programme focuses on three key themes: AI and Supply Chains; AI and Human Resource Management; AI and Education.

1. AI and Supply Chain. Research may explore areas such as AI-driven logistics optimization, predictive analytics, sustainable and data-based decision-making, risk assessment, inventory management, and automation frameworks. Studies that propose, develop, or validate frameworks, structural or conceptual models that advance theory or practice in supply chain management are highly encouraged.

2. AI and Human Resource Management. Research may focus on AI applications in performance evaluation, employee engagement, talent management, learning and development, and workplace analytics. Studies could also investigate the ethical, legal, and psychological implications of AI in HRM, including fairness, bias, data privacy, and the future of work. Frameworks and models that integrate AI with strategic HR practices to enhance decision-making and organizational outcomes are particularly encouraged.

3. AI and Education. Research may examine Generative AI in teaching, learning, and assessment; ethical considerations and governance; data privacy; adaptive learning systems; personalized instruction; and EdTech innovations. Applicants may also address challenges, policy implications, and solutions related to AI adoption in education, or develop and validate frameworks and theoretical models that enhance understanding of AI’s role in learning and institutional transformation.

In addition to empirical research, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and bibliometric analyses are welcome where they offer new insights into these domains.
